4) Prepare Template I-526 Petition

5) PROJECT GOES TO MARKET

6) Investors subscribe to the project
-Investors sign subscription agreement, operating agreement, escrow agreement (if applicable)
-Investors prepare lawful source of funds documents
-Immigration attorney prepares I-526 petition by incorporating template materials with investor specific documents

7) Investors file I-526 petitions using template
-Processing time is 8-12 months

8) Once approved
-Investors apply for an immigrant visa abroad or goes through adjustment of status in the U.S. to obtain a green card
-Processing time is about 6 months

9) Investor has 2 years of conditional permanent residence

10) Project Company keeps record during that time
-Of the jobs created (W-2’s, payroll records, Forms I-9, proof of USC/LPR status)
-Of the business operations
-That the investors sustained their investments

11) Immigration attorney works with project company to develop I-829 template for investors to use when removing their conditions
